Our Journey So Far
Our Story
Prime Desk Solutions began as a Managed Service Provider (MSP) built on a single mission — to help small and mid-sized businesses achieve enterprise-level performance, security, and support. Founded by Stephen Smoot, Prime Desk quickly became known for its proven processes, reliable IT systems, and entrepreneur-ready MSP frameworks that empower others to build and scale their own technology businesses.
As Donald “DJ” Coleman began developing his own IT company using Stephen’s standard operating procedures and service models, their partnership naturally evolved. While DJ was tailoring and marketing his business through Stephen’s frameworks, he became Prime Desk’s digital marketing partner — and together, they saw the next frontier: AI.
Recognizing that AI could transform how MSPs and small businesses operate, Stephen and DJ co-founded the Prime Desk AI Division — combining decades of IT experience, workflow expertise, and AI education to help businesses move beyond traditional technology.
Today, Prime Desk Solutions bridges MSP reliability with AI innovation, empowering clients to automate, optimize, and scale with hybrid infrastructure and intelligent workflow design.

Stephen Smoot
Founder & CEO – Prime Desk Solutions
Stephen Smoot founded Prime Desk Solutions after years managing enterprise IT systems and software architecture. A programmer at heart, he built Prime Desk’s reputation on reliability, system design, and empowering entrepreneurs to become full-service MSPs. Now, Stephen leads both the MSP and AI divisions — using his deep technical background to design secure, efficient, and scalable infrastructures that align human expertise with intelligent automation.
Donald “DJ” Coleman
Co-Founder, AI Division – Prime Desk Solutions
Donald “DJ” Coleman began building his own MSP using Stephen’s processes before partnering with him to expand Prime Desk’s vision. As a digital marketing strategist and certified AI professional, DJ recognized that AI could help small and mid-size businesses compete at the same level as large enterprises — if implemented correctly. Already studying AI through IBM and Purdue programs, DJ worked alongside Stephen to launch the AI Division, focused on practical, secure, and tailored automation that delivers more time, more money, less risk, and greater status for every client.
